Fallout 4 Is What Bethesda Is Developing, Not Elder Scrolls VI

It’s been some time since news came out from Bethesda about Fallout 4. This doesn’t surprise us as Pete Hines said “not to even ask us about the game or questions how far in development the game is”. So if you can’t find out about Fallout 4 from Bethesda who can you get it from?

Over at IGN they have been giving fans news and they put up a post called “Can Bethesda Make Fallout 4 the Best Game Of The Next Generation?” Fans did say that they think the game should be one of the best. What brought about the most excitement though was something that was said. This was:

“First things first, I know that Fallout 4 is currently in active development at Bethesda.”

This is great news of course for those who are waiting to hear news as Bethesda are keeping quiet at the moment.

You do have to wonder if the blog knows something that the rest of us does not. But they could do as they are very tight with several major studios.

So is there any more news on Fallout 4?

The level designer of Fallout 2 and Fallout: New Vegas was talking and said:

“We actually were kicking around some ideas after New Vegas for cool locations for the next Fallout. One of our designers Nathanial Chapman mentioned it’d be really cool to do a Fallout New Orleans. Have an entire city that had like a dam structure and lots of factions and tensions fighting in that city. And then our lead programmer on New Vegas, Frank Kowalkowski, he really wanted to do a Fallout that is set in San Francisco,” Avellone said. “In terms of stuff on the East Coast, there was this really brief mention of this region called the Erie Stretch in the Fallout 3 DLC [The Pit]. And I am really curious to see if they’ll bring that region back in future Fallout installments because it seemed like a really intriguing location to explore.”

Fans of Fallout might want to see what happens at Gamescon as Bethesda are said to be attending. This could be where they talk about the game and perhaps we could see a teaser?
