The Motorola X will be out soon, and it’s thought that this handset won’t be a Nexus-branded device, but that it will have some of its characteristics.
The device may well have Key Lime Pie (Android 5.0), making it the first to get this new OS. It might have a five inch display and a resolution of 440ppi. It’s likely to be out on May 15, and be in the Google Play Store by June or July. May is the month of Google’s I/O, and the Play Store is where most Nexus devices start out.
Eaglesrant.com now believes that all this means that the Motorola X is a Nexus device – possibly the Google Nexus 5. Eaglesrant.com describes it as “the device referred to by the press as the Motorola X Phone may not carry Motorola’s branding after all,” and “might just be the next ‘pure’ Google phone, contrary to initial reports that it wouldn’t be a true Nexus device.”
The Motorola X-Google Nexus 5 should have a 13MP camera and 2GB of RAM, as well as a quad-core chip. All of this is just speculation, of course, but when this handset comes out, it’ll be feuding with phones like the HTC One, the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Sony Xperia Z.
What’s your opinion? Will the Motorola X also be the Google Nexus 5? Is this a good idea, or would you prefer a separate handset?
