We have not seen the release of PokeBank for Pokemon X & Y yet and many of the players are criticising Nintendo for the delay. The huge Pokemon community has been led to believe that the release of the PokeBank will be on January the 7th, 2014.
It appears that this is merely a hoax. After revising the source, Nintendo never once mentioned a specific date for the PokeBank. Furthermore the leaked screenshot that first revealed the date turned out to be a clever Photoshop. As a result, the fans are discontent at not seeing any sign of its release. However, players can get their hands on the PokeBank very soon considering the eShop is back up.
The PokeBank will enable players to store their Pokemon on cloud storage. This will also allow the Pokemon to be brought over to future titles. The PokeBank will also offer a platform additional storage boxes. On another note, it will be released for a free trial in the 1st month followed by an annual subscription charge.
All in all, it is best for the Pokemon community to stay patient as game developer Nintendo will definitely deliver what is promised.
