Two superb devices on the market today are the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Apple iPhone 5. There have been numerous comparisons made of the two and today we are taking a look at how the two compare when it comes to their batteries.
When the Apple iPhone 5 was revealed the battery was one of the main concerns. Other Apple phones had not been brilliant for their batteries. The Apple iPhone 5 packs a battery of 1430mAh, while in the Samsung Galaxy S3 there is a battery of 2100mAh.
When Apple released the Apple iPhone 5 they said that it had the best battery life of any iPhone to date. It seems they could be right. Tests were made on web browsing over Wi-Fi with Verizon and the devices gave 7 hours 13 minutes. The iPhone 4S came in at 5 hours and 54 minutes with Sprint, the Samsung Galaxy S3 from Verizon gave 6 hours and 55 minutes. The Apple iPhone 5 therefore held out longer than its predecessor or the Samsung Galaxy S3. One device that beat them all was the Droid Razr Maxx when it came in at 8 hours and 25 minutes.
Samsung said that the Samsung Galaxy S3 should give around 15 hours, so the results of the test were surprising. The Apple iPhone 5 should last around 8 hours, however in real life they both lasted around the same.
